What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

Towards the end of last year I was doing amazing at keeping my Netgalley TBR down and keeping up with any new releases. I’m not doing as good at the moment but that’s fine, I will get back to where I was soon. Currently, I have quite a few books on my Netgalley TBR but despite that I’ve still managed to keep my feedback ratio over 90% which I’m happy about.

I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Agnes Chan never expected to be the punchline of her own life . . .

But how else do you explain getting accidentally run over and seeing a lifetime of careful preparation, endless training, and all your hopes of a track scholarship to college destroyed in a split second? Not to mention the only witness to your humiliation being your #1 archnemesis, Royce Taslim.

So, when Agnes finds a new answer to her scholarship predicament in the form of an international stand-up comedy contest for teens, the last person she expects to be up against is also the last person she wants to see: Royce. Because for years Royce has represented everything Agnes loathes: extreme privilege, popularity, and physical perfection (ok maybe she doesn’t hate that part so much).

Behind the scenes, though, Royce’s flawless façade fades away, revealing someone Agnes never expected—someone who shows her that perhaps the best parts of life are the ones you aren’t prepared for—and as the competition heats up, so do things between these two rivals. But will the pressure to win be too much for them to handle—or will Agnes (and Royce) get the last laugh?

I was approved for this one just a couple of days ago and I am so intrigued by it. I’ve read Lauren Ho’s adult fiction so looking forward to giving her YA fiction a go. It is an enemies-to-lovers romance which is right up my street but it has had some mixed reviews so far. So, I’m looking forward to reading it and seeing what I think.

Daphne always loved the way Peter told their story.

That is until it became the prologue to his actual love story with his childhood bestie, Petra.

Which is how Daphne ends up rooming with her total opposite and the only person who could possibly understand her predicament: Petra’s ex, Miles.

As expected, it’s not a match made in heaven – that is until one night, while tossing back tequilas, they form a plan.

And if it involves posting deliberately misleading photos of their adventures together, well, who could blame them?

I cannot wait to read this one! It is going to be the next book I pick up that is for certain. I’ve been seeing so many incredible reviews for it already and I know that I’m likely to find an amazing story in an Emily Henry book. I’m looking forward to reading this one soon and sharing my thoughts on it!

Fresh from their honeymoon, Meddy and Nathan meet the Aunties in Jakarta for a family celebration. Amid the festivities, an old flame of Second Aunt’s arrives with extravagant gifts. Unfortunately, not all the presents were meant for them.

NOT the time to start an all-out war.

The most important gift goes missing, putting Meddy and the Aunties in the middle of a feud between Jakarta’s most powerful business moguls – and in great danger. To save her loved ones, Meddy must organise a search party, a break-in and a kidnapping. It might sound like an impossible mission– but with the Aunties by her side, nothing is impossible… just complicated.

I’m reading this one at the moment and even though it is absolutely wild I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I feel like with this series of books you have to suspend your belief a little bit and when you do they are fast-paced and enjoyable reads. I’m not far from finishing this one and know I will be recommending it. So, keep yours eyes out for a full review soon.

Winning the lottery ruined Opal Devlin’s life. She may have been able to leave her dead-end job, but now she’s getting endlessly bombarded with people knocking at her door for a handout . . . and she can’t seem to stop saying yes.

Opal realises she has a chance to follow her own dreams, and decides to spend almost all her new money on a failing flower farm in North Carolina where she can start her painting business. But her plans for isolation soon go hopelessly awry when an angry (albeit gorgeous) Pepper Boden is waiting for her at her new farm. Pepper states that she’s the rightful owner of Thistle and Bloom Farms, and she isn’t moving out.

There’s not much else they can do except strike up an agreement of co-habitation, but they’re soon butting heads at every turn. While they each have a reason to stay, can these two opposites find a way to plant some roots? Or will their combustible arguing (and growing attraction) burn the whole place down?

I’ve been looking forward to reading this one ever since I got the opportunity to read a chapter sampler months ago. It had me hooked on one chapter alone. It sounds amazing and has been getting some incredible reviews online. So, I cannot wait to read this one soon and share my thoughts.

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading
