What Happened in January?

January is almost over! It has been a busy month which has gone both incredibly quick but also incredibly slow. I’ve been on some days out, spent a lot of time getting things ready to decorate my house and a whole lot more. Here is what happened in January!

I read a total of 10 books throughout January. I enjoyed all the books I read this month too. I wrote a post a couple of days ago that goes into detail, with mini reviews, about what I read in January. So, be sure to check that out. Here is the shortened version of what I read in January!

  • Here’s To Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera – ★★★★
  • The Crossing by Manjeet Mann – ★★★★★
  • The Sad Ghost Club by Lize Meddings – ★★★★
  • The Sad Ghost Club, Vol. 2 – ★★★★
  • The Revelry by Katherine Webber – ★★★★
  • Fools in Love: An Anthology – ★★★★
  • If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich – ★★★★★
  • After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ★★★★
  • The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon – ★★★★

January has been another month of lots of blogging. I’m still loving creating content and I’m sure I would even if it was only me reading them. So, I wanted to share the 5 posts that I enjoyed writing the most throughout January. Here are my top 5 posts from January!

This month began by celebrating the new year with my family. Although we’ve seen each other separately, it was so lovely to have time together as a family again. We also got to eat some amazing food.

It was my partner David’s birthday at the start of the month. So, we did a few things to celebrate this. We went out for a delicious meal and went on a day out to Manchester. We went for a couple of walks and just spent time together. It was wonderful.

I spent a lot of time this month being ridiculously busy with work. A library I manage is due to reopen soon after building work and I’ve spent so many hours making it look like a library again. Hopefully, it will open up very soon.

We had so many stunning sunsets this month and it has made me excited to finally be able to sit outside after work when it is light again and just appreciate the nature at my back door. Also, listening to the bird after a busy day at work is so relaxing.

I finished the month by spending the weekend with my best friends. We didn’t get to spend time together over Christmas so we had a Friendmas and it was so much fun. It was lovely to spend time with friends and just laugh and relax.

I’m looking forward to seeing what February brings!

That is it, January is over. I cannot wait to see what February holds. What has January been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
